Job Description
The role of the Backed Developer in the Digital Development team will be to develop High-Quality Scalable Web applications and tools that meet intended requirements, The role shall involve coordinating with globally distributed development teams and delivering/deploying code in an Agile environment. He is expected to provide estimates for the work items assigned and deliver as per agreed standards and timelines. The developer is also expected to carry out unit testing and provide deployment support as needed.
Requirements
Hands-on experience in building and deploying enterprise-level high availability, scalable web application and tools in multi-cloud environments.
- Coding expertise in:
- Java and J2EE (including servlets, JSP, JSF, JDBC)
- Node JS
- Writing REST API, Database Queries
- Building and deploying a microservices architecture
- Application deployment support in a multi-cloud environment
- Proficient in DevOps and CI/CD
- Spring Boot, Microservices, Docker and Kubernetes.
- IBM Cloud, Mongo DB, Cloudant DB.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, architect, design and build scalable and robust web applications
- Create and implement microservices to achieve the required functionality
- Deployment, debugging and monitoring expertise in multi-cloud environments
- Identify improvement areas in existing product modules & features.
- Work closely with the Architecture team in evaluating new technologies, prototyping and implementing the new framework
- Conversant and adhere to Agile methodology
- Conversant and adhere to coding standards, guidelines and best practices.
- Good communication and ability to work in geographically distributed teams in a virtual environment
