This is an excellent opportunity for a QA Tester to join a veteran team whose mission is to deliver a commercial software product. The American Bureau of Shipping and its Freedom Division is not your typical large service provider or outsourcer. ABS Freedom is one of the leading providers of classification services, technology leadership, and trusted technical advice for marine and offshore industries. For our classification business, surveyors bring experience and professional judgment to their tasks of assessing the compliance of a vessel or structure with the ABS Rules and relevant statutory regulations. Engineers offer a spectrum of skills from naval architecture to hydrodynamics and ergonomics. Relevant disciplines include naval architecture as well as civil, electrical, industrial, marine, mechanical and ocean engineering.
Job brief
We are looking for a QA Tester to assess software quality through manual testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, the candidate should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in executing test cases and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, QA will ensure that our products, applications, and systems work correctly.
Manual Testing Responsibilities
- Must have hands on experience with PLM Windchill functional, Creo Parametric, IBM Maximo.
- Must have experience working in Agile (Scrum) methodology.
- Must have experience working with Cloud JIRA (Xray Test management)
- Involved in the technical discussions with onsite coordinators and creation of the scenarios.
- Review and analyze system specifications.
- Prepare and Execute the Test Scenarios and Test Cases for Functional Testing, System Integration Testing by referring to the Business requirements.
- Convert manual test cases / requirements to automated test Workflows to ensure maximum test coverage.
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
- Report issues and ensure closure.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Good to have experience on Java, Selenium WebDriver and TestNG.
