BIW – Lead

Experience: 5 to 8 years

Job Description

• Strong knowledge of BIW design and structural components (e.g- Door Panels/Body Side Panel/Underbody Parts)
• Must have relevant experience in the design of Automotive components like Roof, Floor, Bodyside (Inner & outer), closures etc.
• Must have good experience in Master Sections, Vehicle Integration, Vehicle Packaging, Concept Creation, and Assembly process.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Tooling & Manufacturing processes, relevant regulations & Homologation requirements.
• Should be familiar with OEM/Tier 1 design and system delivery processes.
• Willing to work at various levels in the organization as per project requirement.
• Creating Engineering Master sections
• Concept design, macro feasibility during styling stage.
• CAD modelling and 3D annotations of BIW components and assemblies ensure timely delivery at every milestone as per the Project time plan
• Work out detail Engineering, TPL creation and Release in PLM.
• Define validation plan of BIW components and assemblies on component level meeting all requirements of functionality, performance and quality as per industry standards.
• Understand and implement feedback from all internal agencies within and external agencies (component suppliers, engineering service providers) for the design, Engineering, development and Launch of the vehicle.
• Good knowledge of GD&T, strong hands-on experience in CAD software knowledge, thorough knowledge of initiatives like VALVE, weight reduction and quality improvements and deliver as per given target of cost, quality and weight. 
• POST launch engineering support to resolve all manufacturing, Weight, Quality and Cost reduction activities.
