Job Description
- Experience in OEM vehicle harness development
- Experience in VALVE, Harness Weight and Cost optimization
- Good understanding of a selection of Connectors and Terminals based on the requirement
- Good understanding of design regulations and standards for Indian and international markets
- Knowledge of Harness connectors, Clips and protection
- Understanding of Homologation and safety standards
- Good Understanding of Harness development process
- Good understanding of key milestones in product development
Roles and Responsibilities
- Wiring harness routing in Catia V5/ V6 Electrical Harness workbench.
- Review layouts of wiring harness in DMU and define routing and clamping strategy.
- Electrical Packaging of EE Aggregates in DMU
- Sheet metal/ Plastic support bracket design.
- Implementing the Changes as per ECN.
- Design & Development of Components of Wiring Harness.
- Develop fixing strategy and features aligned to the design guidelines
- Bill-Of-Materials and assembly instructions for the harness
- Generate package feasibility reports
- Interact within the team for an integrated solution to meeting customer quality and timeline expectations
- Participate internal and customer reviews for meeting customer expectations and guidelines
- Prepare justification documents to complement deviations in the design along with alternative proposals to achieve the expectations
