Job Description

Atlassian Support, Onboarding, and Config

  • Provide level 1 – 4 administrative support for Jira, Confluence, and JSM
  • Work with the user community to troubleshoot and resolve issues in Jira, Confluence, and JSM
  • Recommend and implement best practices in Jira, Confluence, and JSM
  • Provide hands-on support to integrate Jira, Confluence, and JSM
  • The support system architecture of upstream and downstream impacts when implementing solutions and providing governance across the applications
  • Coordinate with the Atlassian Support team for issues.
  • Create and curate knowledge-base articles and documentation to help users help themselves
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and user-guides
  • Workflow, Screens, Custom fields, field configurations, Permissions and notifications
  • Configure metrics, dashboards, reports and advanced filters
  • Evaluations & Implementation of add-ons/plugins as needed
  • Test Management in Jira using apps like XRAY
  • Requirement Management in Jira using apps like R4J
  • Jira Audit and housekeeping activities
  • Good Knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with JQL, REST APIs, Groovy
  • Nice to have experience in working with CI/CD tools, and AWS code pipeline.

Migration/Consolidation activities

  • Conduct Migration of required data and users from other PM/ALM tools to the AWS-hosted Jira Server instance and/or consolidate multiple instances of Jira across the corporate
  • Migration solution architecture strategy, planning, coordination and executionPreMigration environment setup and configuration if required test migration facilitation and executionProduction migration and testing migration script creation, testing, and execution as neededMigration of project, user, and test data-Prem to Cloud migration
  • Cloud-to-Cloud Migration
  • Devise and manage detailed project plans
  • Devise and manage UAT, Risk, and communication plans
  • Coordination with required stakeholders and SMEs

Jira Server / DataCenter Administration (Optional)

  • Monitor the host atlassian.carcgl.com periodically. Resources in use need for upgrade(s) (Disk space, RAM, CPU, bandwidth).
  • Updates to the applications on a major release basis. Addons – at least monitor and update if major changes are released.
  • Contact Atlassian and addon 3rd party vendors in case of an issue.
